  • SwimTastic operates all year round with our continuous programme. We operate a price per lesson model, charged on a monthly basis. We have a shutdown period during Christmas/New Year.

    SwimTastic does not operate on NZ public holidays. In addition to our school holiday programme, we operate intensive holiday blocks during NZ School holidays. This also includes specialist technique clinics.

    SwimTastic caters for all abilities from babies through to adult swimming

  • We offer lessons for babies from 3 months old through to teenage squads upto 18 years old.

    We also offer Adult learn-to-swim programme for adults 18 years plus.

  • Yes! We have a large free carpark available for our clients. Please note this can be busy during peak times.

  • What to Bring: Ages 3+

    Swimming Cap (For ages 3+ caps are compulsory. We have several options at reception to purchase)

    1 Hour squad swimmers to bring paddles.

    Check-in

    We advise arriving 10 – 15 minutes prior to the start time of your lesson to allow time for parking. If you need assistance finding your instructor reception can point you in the right direction. (After the first lesson you can bypass reception and check in with instructors)

  • Swim Wear: Ages 3+

    Cap and goggles.

    We recommend snug fitting togs and advise against rash tops and board shorts as they can hinder swimming progress.

    Swim Wear: Babies and Tots

    Caps and goggles are NOT compulsory at these levels, however once at the Aquatots advanced/transition levels we do start to encourage children to start to wear them.

    A tight-fitting swimmers nappy must be worn by all that are not yet toilet trained. These can be purchased in supermarkets (found next to regular nappies) or at reception.

  • For the health and well-being of all SwimTastic customers, swimming caps are compulsory for all swimmers 3 years of age and over. 

  • Eating Prior to Lessons

    3+ We do not recommend eating within 30 minutes of lessons to reduce risk of tummy cramps and upsets

    Babies and tots: please avoid feeding within an hour of lessons to reduce spills.

    Eating after Lessons

    Pool deck and change rooms are food free zones.

    Food and drink can be enjoyed in the reception area.

    Babies and Tots: We do recommend having and snack available for your little ones after class.

  • All swimmers must wait to be asked to enter the water by their instructor. Safe entries and exits will be demonstrated and encouraged each lesson.

  • SwimTastic charges per lesson for our swim school, with a per-lesson fee of $26.75 per child.

    Your monthly total will be based on the number of lessons in the calendar month and billed on the 1st of the month (in advance) via direct debit. We do not charge for public holidays or any other closure dates.

  • Fees for our Swim School perpetual programmes during the year are to be paid in advance by monthly Direct Debit from a nominated credit or debit card on the 1st of each month. If a payment day is not on a Working Day, we will debit your account on the next working day. Depending on your bank, payments may take up to 5 working days to be processed.

    Please ensure you have allowed for this possibility by making sure there is enough money in your nominated account for up to 5 working days following your payment date. Whilst your child is enrolled with SwimTastic the direct debit payments will automatically be applied on the 1st of the month for the rest of the month.

    Direct Debits paid by credit or debit cards will incur a Surcharge. Direct Debit to bank accounts do not incur this fee.

    Our Direct Debits are scheduled for the 1st of the month, and any outstanding amounts are
    re-processed throughout the month.

    If a payment is overdue for a period of 2 weeks after a payment run, then your child's swimming lessons will be cancelled, and you will still be charged for the month. 

  • Yes! We are a perpetual swim school meaning our lessons continue to operate throughout the year. We only have a small shutdown period over Christmas/New Years and Public holiday.

  • (You will not be charged on dates SwimTastic is closed)

  • Should a change of details occur, please update your details on the online booking portal/mobile app or notify reception immediately.

    Maintaining accurate contact details remains the responsibility of our clients to stay fully informed of products, services, booking information, payments and e-mail confirmations.   

  • Yes! They cost $35.00 per lesson. These can only be booked on the day of a lesson in a class with an available space, this is done via contacting reception (09 527 0010 or e-mail info@swimtastic.co.nz).

  • Yes! These are booked via our online portal.

    Private lesson fees are based around the teacher taking the private lesson and range from $75.00 to $115.00 per private.

  • No, we no longer offer pool parties due to our priority of learn-to-swim classes.

  • You're able to keep up to date with your child's progress using our SwimTastic mobile App or online booking portal.

    After following the above prompts you're able to view the goals for this particular level. You're also able to see by looking at the stars how your child is progressing. 1 star means the child is learning the goal. 2 stars means the student is achieving the goal. 3 stars mean that the goal has been completed (Repetitively) You're also able to see the date that the goal was updated by selecting the down arrow on the right hand side of each goal.

  • Any time you like. We take registrations 24 hours per day, 7 days per week via our website. However we can only take bookings up to 1 week in advance. - (the next available lesson)

  • An active booking is your enrollment or your child's ongoing enrollment in lessons with us at SwimTastic. When you cancel your lessons your booking has a drop date added to it. Your booking remains active until this drop date is reached. Drop dates are often the last swim day of the month once you have requested to cancel.Item description.

  • Should a swimmer be unable to attend their lesson, please notify us either via our booking portal, reception by email info@swimtastic.co.nz or leave a message on our absences phone line 09 527 0010 as soon as possible.

    Provided you follow our make-up policy and notify us at least 30 minutes in advance of the lessons, you will receive a make-up token after the class has passed.

    For holiday programmes, we do not offer make-up lessons.

    For Private lessons, cancellations must be done 12 hours in advance.

  • Waitlist are a type of enrolment, which means you are in line "waiting" for an permanent space to become available in a class.

    We will notify you when a space becomes available, and you will have 48 hours to confirm the space. If not, it will be offered to the next in line on waitlist.

    You can be on waitlist, while remaining in current enrollments.

    If you are just on a waitlist and do not have any other enrolments, you will not be charged.

  • Make-up lessons are one-off catch up lessons utilising make-up tokens.

    These are only for our regular perpetual swim classes.

    You must have an active perpetual booking to schedule a make-up lesson.

    Please see the make-up policy for more information.

  • Make-up Policy (Perpetual Swim Classes)

    Make-up Policy

    Our flexible make-up policy allows a make-up to be offered for any reason for absence. This must be recorded either via our booking portal or through reception at least 30 minutes before the class takes place. You will be issued a token within 48 hours after the class has taken place.

    The make-up lesson must occur within 60 days (two months) of the missed class date. There will be no extension.

    SwimTastic must be notified at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the regular lesson via our booking portal or by phone/email to be eligible for a make-up lesson.

    Make-up lessons can only be arranged 48hrs in advance via our booking portal and once booked cannot be altered.

    Once a make-up is scheduled it cannot be changed. Make-ups will be forfeited if not attended or cancelled.

    We are unable to guarantee your preferred day/time, teacher will be available.

    SwimTastic will make every effort to honor your make-up lesson booking, however reserves the right to change this lesson booking should it see fit.

    You have currently enrolled in lessons and your account is financial with no outstanding fees owing.

    If you no longer have an active booking, you forgo any make-up lessons.

    Make-up lessons cannot be transferred to another family member.

    Credit is not available as an alternative.

  • Make-up tokens are only issued after a class has passed and the rolls have be registered online by our staff. Please allow up-to 48 hours for this to occur.

    If you have not followed our make-up policy, you will not be issued a make-up token. We do not allow any exceptions.

    For holiday programmes, we do not offer make-up lessons.

  • Any cancellations must be made in writing.

    Please note it is your responsibility to provide SwimTastic with a notice of withdrawal in writing via email (info@swimtastic.co.nz) or using the drop function via the SwimTastic mobile app/online web portal. We do not accept verbal cancellations. 

    Cancellation must be made PRIOR to the end of the current month enrolled, if this date is missed you will be charged for the next full month of lessons. Once payment has been made and you then decide to withdraw your child from swimming lessons there will be no refund or credit for the payment made. If you withdraw part-way through the month, you will still be charged for the full month.

  • SwimTastic understands that parents want to take photos and videos of  their swimmers. Please be mindful and respect other families’ privacy when taking images. 

    If you have an issues, please raise it with our pool deck supervisor or reception team.

  • Yes! We have pool deck supervisors and senior team members who constantly review classes while they take place.

    We also have CCTV is in place around SwimTastic to monitor the safety of our swim school, teachers and participants. We also do this  in order to assess lessons or teachers for internal training purposes. 

  • No. - We require all fees to be paid via direct debit in advance.

  • Yes.

    We have a weekday 6am squad (currently full) and a 9am squad.

    Children under the age of 5 must be accompanied in the water by a parent or caregiver over the age of 16.

  • Yes, we offer holiday block lessons.

    Our program runs for four consecutive days, offering a concentrated and intensive learning experience that helps your child to develop new skills and knowledge.

    Please note, this operates seperate to our perpetual swim school (which continues through the school holidays)
